Breakfast of Champions (the hangover edition)
Jake and Laurie’s wedding party was a blast! It was at Davis Street Tavern. A great space with lots of old and familiar faces, endless beer & wine, and prosecco. Needless to say, it took all my energy to pull this together for breakfast. Congrats on tying the knot, guys. Thanks for the memories..
Kitchen Aide Chronicles: David’s Red Velvet Cake
David used the new mixer and made a red velvet cake.

Missing Summer
Ran across these pics from last summer. I miss the impromptu dinners, endless cocktails, warm weather, afternoon lunches on the porch and experimenting with recipes. I just need to make it through Spring semester.
- champagne & campari cocktails
- roasted elephant garlic cloves
- panko-breaded, flash-fried, soft-boiled eggs
Cure for the Common Cold
So David and I have arrived from a week in sunny California. We brought back good memories, a slight tan and a terrible cold. I thought a homemade soup was in order.
Ingredients:

- lentils (green pea and red bell pepper)
- spinach
- carrots
- chicken broth
- mushrooms
- roasted garlic
- celery
